HI All, Question for you, I have sites in a whole bunch of different stuff such as arcade, blogs, directory...etc.. and have say an hour a day to spare to help bring some free traffic to my sites. How would you do this? Would you post on DP, Craigslist or what. Paul
this is what i can offer.. - quality comments on 10 blogs per day - write articles and submit to article directories (put 2-3 links/deeplinks to your site in the article) - spend time in Yahoo! Answers and answer question related to your niche - signup on forums and post good posts and put your links in the signature
Thanks ladyfiesta, I agree with the articles they seem to work good, but it takes time to post them to all the different sites :-( . I dothe yahoo answers thing. I have not done the blog comment thing. What blogs to you comment on? Do you do a search on blogger[dot]com? Paul
Continually post on forums to get your links out there. You could make a free book or report on your niches and give it away, to draw some interest in your sites.
The reason I ask is I have the same type of sites as other people but they post revenue on DP and it is not close to mine. I make a few cents a day, nowhere near close to a living online. I dream of a day where I can just manage my sites and make a living at it. Paul
Well, if you want traffic, just post it on the top article directories - ezinearticles, goarticles, etc. No need to submit on other directories =)
Articles are good for this. Directories can be a slow way to get traffic unless they are very active with alot of visitors. Good for search engines though.
As hard as I try, I cannot understand why so many Webmasters want to make money from their site, but they are either not willing to work at it and or they don't want to spend the money it takes to make the money. Sorry for the hyjack. We now resume to the regularly scheduled thread already in progress.
Many of the suggestions are listed amongst these comments. I have to agree to focus on articles, Yahoo Answers, eHow.com is also a good spot, reach out to the blogs and forums as well. You can add Squidoo.com and look into social bookmarks as well.
- create an original article and submit to directories - have a commenting marathon for about an hour a day, spend some time in posting comments to various blogs - sign up for forums and join discussions with like minded people in 1-2 hours a day
For me I would do anything that would effect my search engine ranking in the long term. That could be like posting in forum, articles submission, blog commenting and directory submission. if it is a blog I would use social bookmarking site.
I agree that Squidoo would be helpful. Squidoo lenses are excellent platforms for driving traffic to websites.
If you join a couple of social networking sites as well as forums, they tend to bring in some traffic.
With blogs, simply pinging it will help give it more exposure eat time you update your blog with a new article
