Let's share each other's experiences on Paypal. I'll go first.... -------------------------------------------------- I've sold a site to a DP member not knowing that his/her Paypal account was hacked. $2,400. I've got a fraudulent chargeback... Then my account got limited. good thing i've already withdrawn some of it and purchased some stuffs in ebay.
you will be charged for the money you spent trust me, i had a neg balance for about 2 months and they sent bailifs to my door
One time I was sent $10,000 and after I gave the person what they bought they thanked me. Only stupid people get scammed or actioned by PayPal.
Edit: I could understand that if it were PayPal fraudently taking money from users. The OP had a negative experience due to a chargeback. PayPal isn't the blame for that action.
well, overall had a pretty good paypal experience till now. no scams from anybody as yet .. would recommend it ..
It is ur actions that leads to limitation by paypal, just dont accept those hacked payments and u will be fine.
I've never had any problems with them... however I try to not keep much money on my account, just in case some crazy-ass paypal guy decides to limit my account or something
The problem with that approach is that as soon as you try to withdraw most of your money, you get limited!
how do we know if we are accepting hacked payment ???? this is quite interesting for me since im new in using paypal here in the philippines.
Ive had more than $10k sitting in my PayPal account for over a month and no problems. I dont understand why people say "TAKE IT OUT RIGHT AWAY!"....
Paypal has been good to me.. so far. I got a little confused because i couldn't figure out how to transfer money from a NZ credit card to my paypal account. I found the answer on some forum, it wasn't in the docs.
I sold an ipod on ebay for £250. 5 months later the payment got reversed so I had a negative balance. Apparantly the guy who bought it had their ebay/paypal accounts hacked. I never heard anything from PayPal since though. My account got closed and the police got the guy who was using the guys hacked account. He'd bought about £10,000 worth of stuff with it.
