If people leave comments on my blog with porn in them can I be banned?

I've been getting like 1,200 comments of porn daily. About 800 of them get moderated and I can mark them as spam. It is hard to get them all, Can I be banned for porn outgoing links in their comments?

Yes you can. Any links on your site pointing to adult sites can cause you to get banned from adsense. There have been people who have been banned for links that sounded like porn but really wasn't. I would remove them and start moderating all comments.

 

Absolutely. As allout said, you should require approval on all comments before they get posted.

 

Thanks snowbird, I tried to edit to add the approval part but there is something wrong and I can not edit or add icons.

 

The easiets option would be not to allow comments, that just depends on if you want them or not though.

 

Dude there is 29,000 links of porn and comments. It is taking forever. It only deleted 19 at a time in mass edit mode for comments.

There had got to be a faster way on wordpress

 

If you set it to approve all comments, you will just have to approve the good comments and ignore or reject the bad ones. Nothing will get published without your approval.

 

I get porno link a lot aswell but it never gets through my spam detector...


First, make sure in your comment options set it to moderate comments with 2 or more links. Secondly make sure akismet is enable as that catchs all of my spam...

I have it set to 1 link even!

 

Dude i'm about to just delete every post I've ever made. It seems like the only way without spending 200 + hours deleting shit.

 

Just an advice,

delete from wp_comments where comment_author like "%keyword%
delete from wp_comments where comment_content like "%keyword%

Run these commands at the mysql prompt or phpmyadmin.

 

install a software which it will stop the porn comment. It works well

 

Your going to be better off banning comments completely.

Or even a porno affiliate program could work well, since your getting that much traffic after it.

i get a bunch of those everyday, even with the blogs that have captcha enabled, don't know if the bots are super smart or if the people are actually taking time to do this crap lol

but all my comments are moderated just in case
