I'll refrain from promoting myself further on this thread, but to answer your question...those samples are what is shown above the fold. If content/descriptions are in order I put them below the fold as obviously the main point of the LP is to capture the click with a strong CTA, and thats where the focus of the design lies. I've found that simplicity is key, and giving people too much to read can turn them off and deter conversions. My clients have reported having higher click throughs with the more simple aesthetic, than having a bunch of ad copy in your face. Hope that answers your question.
