    I am trying to set up an image map. The image is fine but the links do not show up. Here is the code I have; any help is appreciated.

    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Image Map</title>
    </head>
    <body>

    <img src="imagemap.jpg"
    usemap="#imagemap" border = "0"/>
    <map id = "imagemap" name="imagemap">
    <area shape="circle"
    coords="132,357,45"
    alt = "news"
    href="news.html" />

    </map>
    </body>
    </html>

    Code (markup):

    Doesn't the map tag and all sub tags of this have to be before the image?

    What are the dimensions of the image? It could be that your map isn't covering any of the image, since those coordinates are really large. . . (Circle image mapping take x, y, radius, x and y are relative to the top left [0,0] of your image- and if your image is smaller than those x and y coords then the link will not show up.)

    In reply to drewbe121212:
    Not necessarily- they can be both before and after.

    Gotcha! It has been a very long time since I have done an image map -- Infact I forgot about them until this post!

    Thank you, I thought (0,0) started on the bottom left which was screwing it up.
