It is the way the url is made ..suppose u name ur category as songs then leave the slug blank then the url to that category would be. http://www.yoursite.com/songs so leave it blank if u wish to make the url same as ur category name (normal practice ) Hope that helps!!
OMG do u know what i do ??I make the category slug the same as the category name.Is the name is songs the slug is songs as well..
You can leave the slug alone except: * when you want the URL to be different from the article/topic/category * if you are using special signs as don't the " ' " will show as %&&@^& in your url which doesn't look nice. I made it an habit of checking the slug for each post, that's the best.
Now i cannot remove the category slug i have entered.I can change it but cannot remove it.What to type in in order to be normal.The category name is cryonics and i have typed the slug to be ''cryonics'' as well http://sci-fiction.net is the URL .What to type in order to change it normally ?
If i understand correct... You want it to be http://sci-fiction.net/cryonics/bladiebladiebla just fill in in the category slug "cryonics" without the " " ofcourse But I also checked your site but you don't have permalinks on??
I see that you now changed it. This is a permalink http://sci-fiction.net/the-future-development-of-mobile-phones/ and this is without it. http://sci-fiction.net/?=p35 your blog looks much nicer this way. If i may be so free to give you one more tip. Go to the options tab->permalinks than change custom structure settings to /%category%/%postname%/ this way your url will be longer but it ill contain more keywords which will improve your SEO.
I like it, I like it a lot. Adsense looks really nice in it. The header and colors look great and also the transition between the header and the menu looks great. I wouldn't change a thing about it! There is only one small error in your index page (at least i think it's your main index page). I don't know if you can see it with all browsers (i'm using firefox) There is at the top left corner of the top post the code =" /> showing. My guess is that there is an extra = in the field or the codes need to be closed. If you can see it, let me know and ill send you a printscreen. This isn't anything serious at all, just a small beauty mark. Anyway, I wouldn't change a thing about it, think the look is just great. Great job
A nice dp designer created the skin for 50 $.Yes i see this =' / > with Firefox but i am using IE7.So how do u suggest i can fix this ?
First you need to locate this in your theme, it's probably in your main index. Copy your index into a text editor and try searching for it. It's probably something simple that there ain't any spaces allowed or that there is something missing in the code. Do you have a test blog for playing around with?
The point is that this error is not indexed in IE7.I browse the page without any problems.It is not a big deal.I even havent promoted the blog so far.As i write about 20-25 articles i will promote and contact the guy who designed the presentation to fix it.I dont think there is a point to promote 12 articles ..: }
Indeed, you're right it isn't a big deal. Your blog looks great and this isn't irritating or something like that. Goodluck with your blog and with the promotion of it. Cheers
what will be to put in category name? im a little bit confuse..... my site is www.panicattackgo.com thank you!
