nothing will happy no matter who you report about cheater... i got cheated and scammed before and i have tried everything.... but nothing happens to that scammer... he is still scamming peoples... ic3.gov , fcc.gov etc. etc... are all useless.... they only register a case and keep it on there records... they dont arrest the scammer... so its waste of time to report to them...

yeah it looks like its a complaint center... not really an enforcement agency. See the problem with internet scams is that as soon as your scammer is international... there is very little you can do because of the fact that most countries don't have any internet regulations.

You´re from USA and you get scammed by someone in Portugal, India, Nigeria, UK or even China... what do you think it´s gonna happen to those people?
    nothing!

I think the purpose it´s like a complain center with a database of users/emails used in scamms. More than that it´s almost impossible.

That's the problem with internet biz..... most of the time you don't know who your dealing with and everything is done anonymous.

Think twice and if a deal is to good to be true, well, it's prolly "to good to be true"

I think those sites are made just to keep the records on the frequency of internet scams.

You can't blame them there are simply too many, they don't have enough hands to cope not to mention that a lot of such scams are cross borders, you need extradition treaty etc.

If ever someone complains here, will it be worthy? I mean, how will they track scammers when there's VPN or proxy...

I just think, in this kind of business (online), you can never eradicate scammers. Just be wise enough and learn... and of course follow your animal instinct? :D

With online businesses it's usually buyer beware. Conduct research first or get fedback from the person you are about to do business with, it's the only way to prevent ourselves from getting scammed.

Not much we can do except give that scammer a -ve itrader......too common nowadays that the authorities also won't bother unless it is a high profile case.

I don't think this will be a great idea, Paypal isn't known to be good at solving scamming issues.

Didn't the high profile people cheat ?? What about the recent user- Riichuser. You deserve a negative rep for such biased opinion.

    I have another suggestion.

If you payed the scammer via Paypal, file a dispute, you may not get a refund because the transaction is "intangible" but if paypal gets quite a lot of complaints, the account would soon be banned.
