Suggestion: No selling links in signatures in BST

One can have links in signature. Can be anyones. But i dont like BST flooding with many signature sale posts. I suggest to stop them as vcc and exchange was stopped. I hope my suggestion is appreciated.

Personally i hate signature which offer something like $7 articles to get on Digg frontpage when you can get them for free .

Aye, it's alright for you because your signature is worth diddly squat!
I know where you're coming from though, you do see a lot of signature sales threads - quite a lot of them with either no or very few replies. Maybe we should allow signature buying threads only - that way people would know there was actually demand.

 

I think the rules for this should stay the same. Allow signature sales.

While I use all my links for myself, I agree that link sales here at DP are very profitable and useful and should be continued for those who wish to.

In case you were unaware of it, DP is a heavy hitter with regards to page rank. Do a PR search on your profile page and you will get a clue as to how effective a commodity your signature links are! Last time I checked, my profile page here was rated a PR6 which helps greatly with the PR of the sites in my links.

I agree that having a specific area for the buying and selling of links would be more efficient than the current shotgun effect now in use.

 

There is no harm when peoples sell and buy sig links. I think VCC sales and money exchanges is not allowed anymore because there was so many SCAMMERS in these sales. I havent seen scamming in sig link sales.

Signature link sales, as long as they are posted in the appropriate thread/forum (Link Sales subforum in the BST forum), are allowed. Signature links are still links, and are deemed to be link sales regardless.

Sig link sales are in ~ in my book

 

People with 5000+ posts have spent a lot of time here to get a small amount in return (small compared to time spent).

 

Its not a main part of why there on DP though.
