    Welcome to DP!

I prefer using Wordpress over anything else (at the moment).

Most templates can be optimized manually for adsense. However, if you are looking for one that is already setup, I would just perform a search on Google.

As far as your articles are concerned: Are your articles related to one niche? Will they be pointing to your original site? If so, usually 20 is sufficient along with article submission (spun articles).

Is this ok or is it overwhelming for adsense? I'm a little skeptical and I don't want to turn off the reader.

I suggest Cutline Theme by Chris Pearson. Google loves that theme structure IMO. It is super SEO friendly.

I also use CopyBlogger theme on my blog.

You can use any theme you want, but just make sure you install the Adsense plugin available online. That helps you in implementing ads on WordPress.

After that, its a trial-&-error method. Some experience will teach you how to correctly implement ads.

I'm pretty sure that you can use any Wordpress template inside Wordpress. If you go to "Presentation" it will show all the available and recommended templates.

But adsense is not to have a flashy border according to G rules. It should blend in with your template. It should also not have a customized border or artwork to draw attention to it. I put my adsense at the top of my site so that it gets maximum attention by itself.

Barpro - Thanks for plugging WPskins.org : Free Wordpress Themes website.

    ----

You can easily search over 1,000 themes by using the "Theme Properties" search function located on the far right of the site.

Click off "Adsense Ready" and only those themes will appear in the search results.

    Best of luck!
