Adsense images are cheap

I tried both Adsense text and image.
Adsense Image doesn't work for me, I only make $0.01, $0.02 per click, less click and longer page loads times.
I make $0.03-$0.10 with Adsense Text, better looking too.

    What about you?

I have had almost similar experience, I find it strange that Google would sell the entire real estate for that low a price.

From the other side of the coin, advertising with Adwords images is the best way to go - cheap clicks and more often. I think its a case of the images being a google baby project that is getting special attention so some developer can prove his point.

It's a well known fact that banners pay less than text ads.

I think this is due to the fact that there fewer advertisers using image ads.

Images look like ads so people won't click on them.

I always use text-ads blended in the content, so it looks like content :)

SMART advertisers bid on publishers' stupidity = smart publishers use expensive keywords on image ads with lowest prices - just to try if there are some publishers with restricted bidding oiut there.

    because
smart advertisers know that SOME publishers have lost oversight of what FREE competition means.

excluding ONE of the formats - text or image - reduces competition
with reduced competition, lower, in many cases MUCH lower prices result.

SMART publishers allow ALL advertisers to bid for EACH ad = highest bidding = highest $ revenue.

in addition for image hosting ( my gallery as well )
on a gallery site many ( gratefully ) visitors are enjoying the images displayed and care less about the ads.
CTR in my gallery is the lowest of all - one of the most popular feature is the slideshow = one visitor looking thru an entire album.
while the price per click still is descent
the eCPM is much lower due to popularitiy of pics viewed

Feedback images are ever worth ! you don't get money for them , at all !!!
Never have a feedback ad in your site..

    1.
    what's ur URL pls
let's see details and facts first

    2.
changing texts takes a while until mediabot has reindexed pages

    3.
I have in my gallery some 10 cents/click average
but LOWER CTR than normal pages because more ppl look at pics rather than ads ( if your pics are exciting of course )

    1.
myself i never had much CTR/eCPM on domain start page - thus I removed any ads on that page
I have thousands of entry pages - all with ads and there is get high CTR/eCPM.

    2.
your start page may miss a real title or banner so ppl see at a glance what your site is all about

as of now it looks like a clear MFA site
