Hi guys, Just thought I'd make a quick thread to let those of you who might be interested know that I'm in the process of releasing a steady trickle of WordPress themes for free. I released the first one earlier today and I would love to hear what you all think and, hopefully, perhaps some of you might decide to implement it into your very own blog. The first theme that I have made freely available, "Cosmos", is a very simple but fetching two-column design which was loosely inspired by the theme in use over at Matt Cutts' blog. Here is the download page with full details, a download link, and the ability to preview the theme on my development blog. Two of the more important features I would like to highlight is: Digg integration straight out of the box - which can be previewed by viewing any post entry - and search engine friendly redirects on error pages. All constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged. I understand that there are a ton of absolutely gorgeous WordPress themes available all over the 'net and that "such-and-such's theme is better!" but, as I say, all I ask is for some constructive criticism regarding this theme. Perhaps if I receive enough positive feedback then I may be inspired to release more and quicker. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers!
Gotlinks, which browser and what screen resolution are you currently using? I can't seem to replicate the problem with any of the browsers I have tested the theme on.
It's a good theme for a club website in that it has a newsletter style look although 'tech' bloggers are unlikely to be that interested in my opinion. However, I'm sure you'll find a niche for it - feel free to promote it on the forum in my sig (we're new but we'll grow!). I might feature it in an article I'm going to write if that's ok?
I would put the page links below the header. They give the impression of ads. Looks cool though. I also made a new wp-theme recently. Free to use and download of course. Tell me what you think.
That would be very generous of you. Thank you very much. Please be sure to send a PM my way if you do decide to write an article regarding my PureWordPress.com website and perhaps I will be able to return the favour somehow. Strange. I'm afraid I still cannot replicate the problem in IE6 - I don't deny you are receiving the error but I will need more information in order to track it down myself. What screen resolution are you using? Thank you very much. At one point, I did have the navigation bar featured below the header but I wasn't entirely satisfied with it. I do appreciate the feedback, though. Thank you very much, robojiannis. Thank you!
Hehe. Mine too! The theme seems to display perfectly fine on my 1680x1050, and my wife's 1920x1200, wide screen notebook but, as I say, I can't replicate the bug so far.
