Videochat rooms? Any thoughts?

    Alright guys,

is there any money to be made in owning a videochat room?

where users have webcams, and can chat to each other, not like the "paied to talk to strippers" things, just talking to normal people -- with adult rooms, but not just for "adult" reasons. Also just general chat for over 18s.

    Making money through subscriptions?

Anyone own one? have any ideas if its worth trying? or any other thoughts on the subject.

    Cheers.

    Hmmm...
I don't think it would do too well. MSN basically already has that concept. In general chat... not everyone will be able show their video anyways, so by the time they chat one on one, they might as well be on yahoo or MSN messenger!
But... I could be wrong! Deffinatly something to look in to!

    yups....still in my opinion

subsciption will works if it's in a upgrade scheme...

so, you have to offer something for free first...not just free, but a free quality service will definitely brings more member...

after that, you offer them a chance to upgrade with unlimited services...

    ex : rapidshare

    lol, no... :p

BUT --- just because there is one "big" player, it dosnt mean smaller sites cannot get some bussiness.

What about newgrounds -- the top flash games site, but look at all the arcade owners on here who are making some cash.

Cheers for the replies by the way everyone :)
