In regards of SEO I am trying to rank my website better for the keyword Dog Obedience Training.

What could I do to help me out.

I see you are making the exact same mistake every webmaster does, I had my website first in google for black hat seo ebook within 2 days of registering the URL, and now 8th for black hat seo within 2 weeks !! Strictly using white hat seo that is as I only use black hat for spam sites.

Using your target keywords as your title/anchor text will surely help you get a much better position. It's one of the effective ways of getting high SERPs ranking

I just took at look at your site and it really has many many major issues, it can never ever get ranked and will only ever be found in supplemental results.

If I was you I would start again, a new website has more chance than this one, it has far too many issues, even if you change it, it will take months to have any clout. So just start again and this time don't make the same mistakes.

The keyword you want to be ranked for really is not that competitive at all, you should be able to easily get on the first page in most search engines quite quickly, depends on how much work you want to do, and how much you want to spend really.

if you haven't already done so, be sure to submit a sitemap (xml preferably) to google and yahoo. Mainly though, keep building links and adding content while you wait. Your site has not been up very long, so be patient.

 

All you can do is get backlinks that include the word "dog obedience training".
Everything else is a wase of your time.

 

Would submitting to Web Directories with PR0-??? be worth my time? Or should I focus on other kinds of links?

 

That depends how much your time is worth. It will help. Every link with your keyword in it helps.
