Need help to overide "Options->Reading" with permanent number of posts

    I am looking for the correct file to edit to over ride the reading options, to set a permanent number of posts displayed on the page.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Problem solved. I just needed to re install the options-reading.php file.
    Got it fixed, thanks for your help anyway.:)

    Plugin is not at all required for it. It can be done directly..
