    You forgot about mentioning SEO contest as many times as you can on the page where you post the link to SEO contest, and you forgot to mention SEO contest because you only mentioned SEO contest 4 times in your posting and Ive already mentioned SEO contest 5 times in mine

    Agreed, I lost all interest in this after 24 hours when I realised how much time it was going to cost me.
    I would rather put it in to my own sites....but good luck to the contestants.

    couldn't have said it better myself...

    i got about halfway through making a page, then realized i could probably make way more than that if i spent my time promoting the sites i am already making money from.

    how much is that search term going to be worth after the contest is over?
    not much, except maybe to get some customers for seo, if thats what you do.

    It depends from case to case, I remember my friend participating in 1 seo contest (keyword was - Globalwarming-Awareness2007) he worked very hard and finally lost, but in the process after 3 months his site gained PR5....he started selling links and managed to earn $1000 and now the PR has dropped....but he is happy even after loosing the contest he made good money....
