I use 301 Redirect to direct my domain through the affiliate company im promoting. I built up 2500 backlinks over 4 months, and now it's down to 0 when i check my backlinks. 2 weeks ago i redirected the domain to a different affiliate website which is a similair product. Do you think this is why i lost my backlinks?
So redirecting your domain to a different site causes you to lose your backlinks? It's a similair site and same type of product
If you have redirected your domain to a new domain,twice, then Google will know about the 302(s) and possibly think that the backlinks are no longer relevant or 'direct' to the site, so to speak... I could be wrong on that...but its possible. Where were the 2500 backlinks showing? Google or webmaster tools or where? Posting the domain would be very useful as well in diagnosing.
I used this tool to check my backlinks - http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker The site is in my sig - online-television-network I had 2500 backlinks and now it says i have 0. Im using 301 redirect I only made the change one time to direct to another website which is the same type of product
