Trying to find a good way to generate traffic...

I've got a new site, which ironically enough is meant to help other websites generate traffic and interest in their sites. It's a play off of Digg, in that users can comment, vote, and discuss websites. Where Digg and other Digg related sites want users to post news articles, this is simply a site to review sites:) As a web developer myself, this has always been a headache, so I thought I'd create a place to help people find good quality sites that are relevant. How can I build awareness? Any help, suggestions, or comments would be great.

putting the site in your signature would be a great way - I'm not sure how long it takes for a new registrant to get that ability though!

Of course put the url in your signature (here on DP you need 10 posts and a week) and join some communities where you will find your audience (forums, comment on some related blogs, submit an article somewhere, on digg for example:)

You can try at www.stumpleupon.com. If your site is interesting you make tons of traffic in a few days.

thanks...stumbleupon seems like an interesting site...you can just submit sites that are interesting to you. As a web designer myself, it can be such a pain to get your site noticed. That's part of it I guess.
