Can an orphaned page become indexed???

I was wondering if orphaned pages can become indexed. For example, lets say you have an orphaned page on xyz.com and no links are pointing to it from anywhere on the xyz.com website, but you have links pointing to it from abc.com, quv.com, and wro.com.
Could the orphaned page on xyz.com become indexed or not?

    Thanks,
    Tom

yes. the robots will visit abc.com, quv.com, and wro.com. They will follow the links to xyz.com and index it. Thats why you build backlinks, to get indexed automatically.

yep, the fact that you are not linking to it from your main site bears no consequence.

NOTE HOWEVER: If you DONT want it to be indexed just use a robots=noindex tag.

Robots.txt can also block bots... but keep in mind that not all bots follow such tags. If the page contains personal information, you should lock it or restrict it through other methods.
