yes, .com is the king, thats true. but don't worry, if u have already bought those 3 domains, then just build the blog.

the thing that matters the most in SEO is backlinks,

In terms of real SEO, there is no difference. However, you might get more links if it's a .com, simply due to human nature.

Most people are used to .com domains, but that's ok. Just work on getting high rankings.

Where did your friend hear from?

the .info is not bad for SEO. I personally use the .info for my SEO strategies. To make the .info get higher rank from Google and also other search engines, you need high quality backlinks from other websites which related to the .info.

as has already been mentioned, .infos are no better or worse then .coms, only human error that leads to that perception - some people automatically suffix .com to the ending so you may miss out on a few links but nothing too serious.
Info domains are treated the same.

The only real difference I've seen on TLDs is whether it's a localized tld, like .co.uk because then Google tends to group it with UK or wherever type sites and it will rank higher on google.co.uk then google.com in some cases.

I think that .info were used for spam a lot, that's why people don't like them. In my opinion search engines do not really care. But I believe you should buy .com for a good business plan. :)

This could not be more true.

Purely looking at SEO, the domain extension makes no difference. However, it is more appealing from a personal standpoint to most Internet users to visit a .com domain rather than a .info.

SEO wise there is no difference, but since .info domains are cheap as hell and very popular among spammers, google seems to kick .info domains alot faster when using any shady/blackhat techniques. Seems like you can rank as well as with a .com/.net/.org but google looks a little closer if you are playing by the rules. No, this isn't made up, it's first hand experience and easy to reproduce.

In SEO, either is it .com, .info, .org or any domain name did not matters. How wisely you achieve your goal is more important. How many you get quality of backlinks from other sites is important.

.info is not a bad choice but .com is better. It is possible to get more traffic on .info also. You know the google criteria. Collect theme based good backlinks. You will be in top if quality content on your website.

No any more difference between these both.
Content of your website will lead you in higher ranking whether you are having PR or not.
No one going to suggest you, but i suggest you to do keyword stuffing in content of your blog.
    Result always will positively.
No back link needed for Getting rank in higher SERP's.
When your blog get indexed automatically it will shows in search results.

I believe a .info wouldn't make a difference, like others have said, backlinks are more important. I would argue that the emphasis placed on having backlinks from even .edu domains is overrated. There are more .edu's that are considered authority and thus, most edu sites have good link juice.

Agreed, especially since the changes a few months ago, .edu by itself doesn't have any advantages any more (content on .edu pages as well as links from .edu pages). Sure, they are quite powerful because of the domain age and link juice anyway, but it's alot easier (and/or cheaper) to get links from aged, powerful non-edu sites that are not located on weird orphan pages.

Is there a reason you have that hidden picture in your post that causes a pop to come up asking for people to put in their password? Does it help SEO? Just curious.

Anyways, I ran a side by side experiment. I have a .info and a .com the same links at the same time. The google update came and the .info had a pr of 0 and the .com got a pr of 2.
