Even if he does he'll be completely ignored by the Mainstream media buddy. The exposure of the MSM (especially FOX, CNN and MSNBC) to ignoring people is shocking (always ignoring Paul but even the Huckster was ignored quite a bit last night on the CNN debate as they concentrated on McCain and Romey bickering instead of talking about real issues in a fair manner with ALL 4 Current remaining candidates) and it just goes to show how utterly controlled the Mainstream Media really are.
I think people just historically wanted a change from Reagan/Bush... I still adhere to the philosophy that Bush was fired, Clinton was not hired. When you've had enough of a Republican, elect a peanut farmer, or philanderer.
It won't be anything flashy. It will be under the radar. Don't expect to see miracle headlines. No amount of media attention will affect the national convention, and that is what RP is playing for. It's his best shot. That said, strongest states will probably be Alaska, Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, with possible surprises in West Virginia and Alabama.
My wife is also at home with the kids and we have absolutely no regrets. Their are many riches in life other than money!
today i met one American in my city Me : where is your country ? He : i am from America , but bush is specking completely rubbish Hhahaha i didn't ask him is bush specking anything , i think he thought my next question will be that about bush's rubbish ?
Who is kidding who? They aren't after terrorists now. They're nation building in Iraq and Afghanistan. McCain doesn't like using ground troops. He believes in air superiority. He's going to bomb, bomb, bomb other countries, he's not going to go after terrorists.
Remember all that "Mission Accomplished" utter Flag Waving Crap mate? It was clear from the beginning that they were going to be there for a long time, the sheeple still cannot see this. And Mr 100 Year in Iraq INSANE McCain still gets loads of flag waving fools supporting him. There is something seriously wrong with the USA I think mate (no offense to you or other sensible people who can see through all this utter BS.)
The good old U.S. of A. is in a steep decline. Consumerism and the conditioned lobotomy of so called "happiness" and of "the American dream" is a sham and is taking a toll on the masses. Denial is just one of the initial signs of the inevitable failure and collapse that is to follow.
It is a serious matter. If the American economy collapses, then India would be badly affected. If the dollar devalues further, then the Reserve Bank of India would work some tricks to devalue Rupee to maintain the conversion rates viz-a-viz the US dollar. That would be bad for my motherland. I've heard stories that many Americans won't be able to point out India on a map. And that is serious. Do these people even realize who they are electing??? The biggest blow to the credibility of intelligence of average American was when Bush was elected the second time. Very shocking indeed! IMO, this time, the new President would be a Democrat. Unless MSM starts covering Dr. Paul's issues, people just won't care.
Kinda goes without saying.. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be involved in such organized self loathing.. Someone needs to give Dr. Phil a call.
Mia, I'm surprised you are not on the Ron Paul wagon yet. No personal income tax (compatible with your Huckabee support) Reduced government spending Government downsizing Following the rule of law Free market economics Choices in healthcare and education I mean really, outside of foreign policy, Paul pretty much best represents (assuming your posts are being made honestly) your domestic positions to a tee. In fact, I'd be curious to know which candidate you may feel better reflects your domestic positions. PS, I can hook you up with an avatar like mine if you like.
It's the "tuck tail and run" part I don't agree with. That and a complete and utter lack of interest in compromise. Domestically I see nothing that convinces me that RP will make an effort to get us energy independent in 4 years.
Tuck tail and run part. I sort of agree. Withdrawing from the world is an invitation to disaster. being energy independant......I agree with that. An incredibly important goal to strive for. Mia: Its too bad you want to keep the troops in Iraq with McCain for another 2-100 years.
The position is not to withdraw from the world. It's to withdraw militarily from the world. Thank you for framing that properly. It's a goal, but shouldn't be a government mandate, unless we want it to be done at the corporate level. Not to mention, how the hell we're going to pay for it, or how we will be able to defend ourselves against a real military threat, given the decline in troop levels, without instituting a draft. Did Reagan tuck tail and run in Lebanon? Did we tuck tail and run in Vietnam? Why is it so hard to admit that there were not WMDs, and that Iraq ad nothing to do with 9/11? Given that we know the attack on Iraq was formulated for commercial interests, why are we subsidizing it, and sacrificing lives? You may call it surrender, I call it supporting the troops. They are needlessly in harms way, being treated like cannon fodder. Ah, so we need compromising politicians. Like the ones who brought us to this point today. The ones who compromise on their election promises, and compromise on their votes. Got it. De-regulation for nuclear, drilling in Anwar and working to close down the Dept. of Energy. Less regulation = American free market innovation. I mean, surely you are not suggesting that the government should subsidize alternative fuels via central economic planning?
Aren't you kinda of contradicting your first statement? Anyway, when did I ever say that? As loopy as McCain is, I have to respect the fact that he is intelligent enough to realize that you cannot set a date for withdrawal. That's pretty much the same thing. Can't have one without the other. But it should be. If we needed a draft, we'd have one by now... The military was spread much more thin under Clinton.. Dangerously thin in fact. Hell, its one of the reasons we are at this juncture. No, we did not tuck tail and run in Vietnam. In 1973 the United States, North and South Vietnam, and the Viet Cong signed an armistice. The North broke that armistice, attacked, and the South fell as we left. So too would Iraq, Korea, and every other place that copies the Vietnam armistice route. No one said there were WMD's, at least no one in the Bush admin, nor I, or anyone I know that is not led by their ears by media fiction. No one said Iraq had anything to do with 9/11 either... Only you and other mis-informed followers tout these falsehoods. You cowardly lies and continued delusions are not helping your case for Ron Paul. I would be willing to bet that not even Ron Paul would run around making up such non-sense. You do not support troops by putting them in harms way. Asking them to tuck tail and run puts them, and every other troop who remains deployed in harms way. Voting no on everything, never even attempting to reach across party lines to compromise is not the way you get things done. One of the reasons Bush has been one of the most successful presidents in recent history is because of his innate ability to reach out to people on both sides of the isle to get things done. Democrats got back into office with promises of ending a war, raising taxes, and stopping government spending. All the while Bush has been able to get everything he has wanted, above and beyond more funding for our troops. The prescription drugs, a fuck ton of money for education, and the list goes on. What has Ron Paul done? Voted NO a lot. What I am suggesting is that we simply stop using foreign oil. We could do it in a week. Would it hurt a bit? Perhaps, but the price of fuel worldwide would drop overnight. You wanna see world markets collapse? Stop using Foreign oil!
