Google will release the OS soon because They have talented people and their search engine is a very good product for all, IF they release a product means sure it will beat MS products,
Have anyone tried using it? Is it good? I'm just scared it may turn out to be spyware. Strange, there's also no press release at google's site at all.
It's just an Ubuntu with lipstick. It's no spyware, it's just marketing. When Google releases their operating system, you'll hear about it. In the mean time if you want a good Windows alternative you should try ReactOS (www.reactos.org). The code is not reversed, it's 100% unique and the system is 100% compatible with Windows software. Besides, it's open source.
ok I wish people would stop posting reactos it sucks balls, it's still in beta and never coming out... just pirate XP and turn on "windows classic" if you want a crappy GUI
What do you mean it's never coming out? It's open source so it's out with every major bugfix. Ofcourse it can't be compared to Windows but Windows license costs 150$ and ReactOS is FREE.

it has a crappy GUI the creators have abandoned it it's still in ALPHA stages after 3-4 years like I said, just pirate windows xp and put it on "classic"

May get google to get off their arse and actually go for an OS... (to stop people from thinkg gOS is theirs) I think by 2010 linux will have a very string foothold against MS, apple seems to be picking up some steam as well...
