well,i know how it works,its simple,any number with two digits that you sum and subtract itself,will be a multiple of 9. the multiples are 9,18,27,36,45..and in this site all the multiples of 9 has the same icon image! thats why it works

I know about it from a long time. I figured out that whatever numbers you choose, the answer is always from a same series of numbers. And this flash game have same symbols for that particular series (changed every time).
