Hi, I have a store www.viparrot.com and want to make the urls search engine friendly. I could just buy a mod but I want to learn to do it, so I can apply it to other sites. I currently have the dynamic urls listed in google. How to a change to se friendly urls without losing my rankings? Redirects? Thanks Notting

Tricky one and you will lose some rankings for a time (usually a short one) It is a difficult one to explain but try reading this mod rewriteand also the beginners guide to mod rewrite on that page. I would buy the cube cart module if you care about your rankings// OR set a replica up on a dummy domain name (change it a bit so you dont have dupe content issues) and practice on that...and when youve got it, implement on your main site. You will need to 301 redirect all old URLs to the new ones so you dont lose all your sites PR and rank
