Two of our visitors have complained that our website download a Trojan when they access it. But we could not get more informations about the trojan name/type from them. One of them told us we had a trojan in http://www.cnx-translation.com/partners.htm, but we only have Adsense and Google analytics script in this page and the rest is only html. So could it be that some software detect adsense or google analytics as trojans ? Thanks.
I guess the problem is with analytics code.. they use tracking cookie and that can be treated as a spyware by some of the anti-spyware software.
In a recent past it has been revealed that trojans did hide in some ads network (don't remember but it was a big network) but it was in Flash ads. Now with Firefox big security hole it is possible even with only javascript.
Check your source code to see if it's exactly the same as what you should have on your hard drive. There are some unsavory types that get into your webhosting and insert their own code into your webpages.
adsense would never put a trojan in his ads. thats going to bee a big HOAX in webmaster world. then i think, it just the software bug
I got an answer from the person who detected the trojan: "We detected it with McAfee software, and the name of the Trojan is Exploit-IFrame." I installed a trial from McAfee but could not detect it. After some googling, I found an article about a trojan which exploits google ads: http://www.bitdefender.com/NW648-world--BitDefender-Detects-New-Trojan-that-Hijacks-Google-Text-Advertisements;-Cuts-into-Google-Revenues.html But it seems different to what my problem is. I saved my webpage from the browser and I compared it to the original with ultraedit, both are exactly the same. So I suppose this is a false alert.
So then, the problem is with your computer, not with Adsense. http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Security/Trojan-Hijacks-Google-Text-Ads/
dont save it from the browser get it from the server, the browser doesnt show server side scripting which the file ma now have
This has been resolved (some time ago), there was a nasty script on the host server, which infected a lot of website.
"So could it be that some software detect adsense or google analytics as trojans ?" Not sure, but I think this can be the problem.
