Hello, Edit: I meant 100 megabyte limit in my title..sorry! I have always wondered this... Every database I have seen has showed a 100mb limit next to it in my 1and1 control panel, dreamhost control panel etc... What if i need more than that 100mb? One of my sites is a few megabytes away.... Thanks!! -Tim
If you need more, upgrade to better hosting You sure you need to be storing 100mb in a database? Things like images shouldn't be stored in a database.
Hi ... I can relate. I have a 600mg song lyric data base. My main host, NetNation, can't imagine how to host such a large db. Godaddy can load 500mgs, but not more, although we, I and they, tried hard. A friend let me run the db, on his dedicated, for a time, but demand for bandwidth forced a shut down. A few hosts can handle the size, but the bandwidth is usually a problem. I found one host, which can handle the 600 mg db, here. You might wanna check it out. Anyhow, some empathy and an idea. Hope this helps, you and others. Good luck. Let us, on DP, know what you find.
Thanks Just wondering, as I have only seen 100mb limits. But im getting close as my directory is becoming quite successful Not storing anything unnecessary, only link data. -Tim
