First Pay per Play impressions?

The PPP audioads seem to have been 'soft launched' today.
Has anybody already heard one of these ads today on his/her site ore elsewhere?

    First impression?

(btw, there should be a subforum PPP on DP, or did I miss it?)

No, they are not working yet. If you want, you can set the code to give you a test (which is an ugly noise)

They have sample ads if you are wanting to know what the ads sound like. I heard a Taco Bell and Harley Davidson ad, both sounded pretty good, imagine a 5 sec radion ad, thats it. They are updating the stats system tonight at midnight and expect a 2 hour period from midnight until 2 AM as they work the new database in. So tomorrow should be the soft launch. They are expecting to take 30-60 days to fully run the program which I think is smart, get the bugs out first.

I've just installed mine on a single website but can't hear any ads at all, not even the sample or 'ugly' noise?

I won't put it on homepage but only on certain targeted pages: it's too annoying to have an unexpected sound when you visit a site.

    it's international.

They claim to have softlaunched with a small amount of ads which will steadily increase in the next 30-60 days.
Tho I haven't seen any sites with those ads yet and the new stats system was first delayed from thursday to friday night and now it's once again delayed till somewhere tomorrow.

I'm losing my trust in this new way of advertising.

According to an article in the Wall Street Journal... it is expected to pay publishers 3.50 or better per CPM.
You won't see them either. They are audio ;)

You are incorrect, that message was edited at 10am PST from the 8am message which was at 45%, so its taking 2hours to complete 10% it should be finished in about 2&1/2 hours from now, with expected ads from the 3rd February some 6hours later. 2million a day to start with and to increase daily thereafter.
