Nice site. Not bad for the short time. Keep working diligently, and it will come to you... I would worry about the "sandbox" kicking in any time. Hopefully, you could avoid it. If your rankings drop in the near future, just tough it out, they will come back.

I would join the forum. But...where are the link in the sigs? How many people do you think belong to DP and how many of them do you think like sports as well? (go phillies!) But, why would I waste my webmaster time on a forum that doesn't have links? Not that this makes a good forum or not, but look how many more members would spend even 10 minutes over there if you would help them out also with a dofollow link in their sig. Just my opinion, which doesn't mean a whole lot.

He is talking about your forum. You should offer do follow links in your members signatures as another incentive. If webmasters have to choose between 2 similar sites that does make a difference.

I would suggest more content using keywords such as "Sports Forum". When I was doing SEO on one of my sites I checked out the sites in the top spots. My site deals with Volunteer Management Software. So I checked Google, Yahoo and MSN to see who ranked the highest using those keywords. Then worked on optimizing my site using those words in the content. It took awhile but my site continues to move up in rankings depending on search. Do you use Google Analytics to track your visitors? It's a great way to find out what words someone typed into Google when performing a search.
