.name does suck, but any online appraisal website sucks as well. Use only for novelty purposes only. Mortgage.name would probably get around $1k IMO.

.name sucks. Estibot does not suck.

Probably there are so few reported .name sales that Estibot has to assume there is no value at all to .name. Estibot is dependant on having good and sufficent data on which it can base it's appraisals.

It is a great tool for a first sort - and a terrible guru for making decisions for you.

.name is horrible for commercial value. The weird thing is that it has no use, it's not even used for personally blogs!

it does indeed suck, I can't think of any time it could be used besides maybe in names like "Domain.name" is the only name that would work etc or "Your.Name" - only words like that where it the site or service is about names...

Depends on the name and your marketing strategy.

I have a .name domains since 5 years ago which is PR5 and with some of the highest revenue on my portfolio

.name was created for individuals, not a good name for domain name speculation, other than that extension doesn't really matter much.

It doesn't suck if one knows how to use it properly.
    If you look at previous .name sales, you'll see that Play.name was sold for $1,500, Loans.name - $1,000, Forex.name - $1,500 and Fashion.name for $1,200.

I too have some one-word .name domain and when used for certain types of informational/affiliate sites it works very well.

If I had to choose between a keyword.name and longkeyword.com I would definitely give preference to .name!

Google algorithm has no or very small tld adjustment.
