    Hi.

It all depends on the control panel that the server uses but from anywhere of almost none to exceptionally little.

Not much at all...if you were able to setup the reseller then you are pretty much good.

Host Gator are great there is very very little knowledge needed to run it, most of the control pannels explain them self and you can upgrade or change your account with them really easy if you need more space or want to move over to a dedicated server.

WHM and software such as Clientexec (stable and very cheap) can make it a breeze.

Make sure you choose the right provider, because if you get a reseller host who oversells the future won't be bright for you or your clients.

I would say the learning curve for WHM is not steep, and is probably straight forward with the use of a billing system.

I think your chances of converting a sale would increase highly if you used automation software. It would also making billing etc a whole lot easier, as well as providing end user support.

Most resellers these days provide you with the billing software, control panel, etc. As for the technical aspects, you won't need to worry about managing the server, but you will need at least SOME general knowledge for support for your sign ups - unless you plan to outsource that too.(which I wouldn't recommend)

I agree out sourcing can be expensive and sometimes can take a step back with your clients.

However, some resellers provide the end user support for you, which can release a lot of stress.

The top 3 panels I have seen hosts offer for free are Clientexec, WHMCS, WHMAP. Personally, Clientexec is my fav out of the lot and is the one we use.

    Very true.

Most have upgrades and are scalable like ourselves. So there is always room for expansion.
