Hi. Am I just lucky or did I do something right ? I started a Proxy network about Two months ago, I started with 10 and built up to 50 sites up to today. Yesterday I thought I would use a Pagerank Checker just to see what happened. I was completely blown away by the results. 11 (Eleven) of the sites were ranked PR 4 5 (Five) sites PR 3 The rest were between PR0 and PR2 probably because of fairly recent additions. Is it common for Proxies to rank so good so quickly ? Thanks for reading. Dalem
some time ago was pagerank update. most of my proxies hit pagerank 3 too. I thinks its common if you listed sites in some proxy topsites/listings RiTu
how to build a proxy network is what i always thinking of.. never make it cause hard from scratch, any hint to help me around? i don't mind to pay a certain fee long as to make u happy?
I am earning about 250$ -300$ per month. Ok it's not huge money I know but considering the age of the domains it's not bad to start. I have a very high speed broadband connection (20Mbps)and I am running my own server. ( I can hear many of you laughing your heads off at that ) before you do let me just tell you. I have a dedicated server running at home with my 50+ Proxy sites on it. ( Plus a couple of other domains ) I have a pal who also has the same amount of sites but pays a fortune for a VPS that is down more than it's up. Every other day he has to report to support that he has problems. My connection copes extremely well with the bandwidth I use. His VPS struggles to cope. My server has never been down in over two months, I only pay for my Broadband connection which is about $20 month. He's paying in the region of $40 month VPS plus $20 Broadband connection. Just a bit about server spec: AMD 64 Athlon 30 Gig 10,000 rpm SCSI hard drive Gig of Ram Apache MySql 5 PhP 5 I don't need FTP access because it's on a local machine. I don't need cPanel or anything like that. I can edit files on the fly. I've used 108.8 Gb bandwidth this year. Give me my setup every time. By the way I have obtained permission from my ISP to run my server and if anyone is thinking of doing the same make sure you ask if you can run a server. Make sure port 80 is open. If anyone is thinking of doing the same I will happily write a short tutorial "How to run a server at home" Dalem
Hi Dalem, if your working on a local machine, why do you only have 30gb of space? I havent seen a hard disc that small for over 10 years!!! MOG
Hi Mog Why do I need a bigger DisK ? With 50+ sites hosted it uses up 52 X 150 Kb or 7.8 MB if my Math is correct. I think that's about 99.9% empty. So what good is it having a monster Disk ? dalem
