    VISTA Rocks!

it is like comparing windows 95 and windows 2000/XP
Just 'learn' to use Vista, and use it for about a week or so and you will know how stupid you were to choose XP against Vista.

    Bugs!?!?!
Well, I am a programmer too. And I have found vista much more supporting, stable, and faster.

    Grow up!

    'learn' to use Vista?
When I tried Vista it messed my machine up beyond repair. There were numerous compatibility issues and half of my software didn't run correctly. It slowed down my machine immensely and was cumbersome and frustrating to use due to its absolute lack of speed or efficiency. If learning to use Vista means getting used to a slow OS that can't run half of my software without errors, no thanks, I'll stay childish.

Neither, but I would rather remarry my ex than get Vista. It's a resource hog no matter how powerful Your PC is. All it is a New York look in the deep Texas.

An article in today's Guardian helps explain why professional audio engineers are avoiding Vista.

With XP you can use programs like Internet Explorer 7 and Media Player 11 that make you feel like you are running on Vista.

See now I just switched from Ubuntu to Vista because I got myself a decent graphics card and wine just doesn't cut it for high end performance at all. And I have to say now that I'm using everything that Vista has to offer, I do have more respect for it. Using the sidebar, etc. I have to say my productivity has increased, and if you install a program I wrote (see details in http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=686737) it responds as a current-gen OS should.

One thing Microsoft does need to do in the next windows is ditch NTFS, after using other filesystems in Ubuntu it seems really sluggish and dated.
