Would you switch from Adsense to YPN if Microsoft buys Yahoo ?

As you don't perharps know Microsoft has announced his offer to buy Yahoo : he is mostly interested by the ads revenue market.

Would you switch from Adsense to YPN if Microsoft succeed into buying Yahoo ?

Or at least would you be pleased that Google Adsense would get a decent Alternative ?

Of course I'd switch and see if it's worth staying with them. I love the misconception everyone has that Google is God and we must bow down to them.

It's like asking me if I'd switch to AdBrite... of course I would, if they pay me more. Once you start going up the revenue ladder online you realize multiple revenue sources are the way to go. Some advertisers do better on certain sites where AdSense does crap.

At the end of the day we have the whiners saying they get 6 million impressions and are making $20/month. Knowledge is power.

I'll be pleased if Google Adsense get a decent Alternative ?
But as far as I know YPN is still limited to USA people.

You seem to like domain parking, does yahoo has such program ?

By the way I never understood domain parking since traffic is mostly 0 for most domains :)

It's limited for US only because of launch phase, not when it will run for true. I think if Microsoft does buy Yahoo, they will make some kind of economic dumping by offering much more incentive for webmasters to switch from adsense to YPN.

Not sure if this was directed to me, but I love domain parking. Most genius idea ever.

Yahoo doesn't have a domain parking service, but they do provide feeds to various domain parking services such as Parked.com.

About the traffic... it can be mostly 0 for more domains, but there are certain exceptions. Get a good generic domain and you'll see what I mean. :). I've got domains with great type-in traffic that perform better parked than developed.

Still far far too early to say, we do not know if the bid passes the regulators, even if it is successful, we do not know the direction that Microsoft wants to bring Yahoo to.

I will switch, if it starts to show good results, better than adsense.

I will switch even if the results are not equally good, I simply feel a competitor is needed for adsense

I know I would try a switch, I have seen threads about everyones earnings with Adsense declining. A lot of people have an increase in clicks but a decrease in revenue. That enough for me to try other routes. It always helps end users when there is competition.

Yes, I would switch, if they accept international publishers.

As for me I don't see any decrease but rather increase about 20% per month but it's because I'm benefiting of the traffic growth. I have well above average eCPM for some niches.

But I fear Google Supremacy or Monopoly so I'm pleased if there can be some real competitors whatever or whoever they are.

I have in the past and I will again. I like everything about yahoo over adsense except the horrible buggy system which they never fix.

I use both now. I'd probably stay with both. But if one is putting more money in my pocket than the other, you bet that's the one I'll favor.

Given Microsoft's tendency to overpay for stuff, if it carries over to overpayment to publishers (like YPN did in the beginning), then you better believe Adsense would be gone quite quickly.

Competition is ALWAYS a good thing.

Adsense is a good product, but I believe Google has gotten too fat & happy with it, and they're really starting to treat their (small) publishers like crappola. And from what I read on the Adwords forums, the (small) advertisers aren't partiuclarly happy either.

I'm running Adbrite on a few pages, but since it's not context driven, it's nowhere close to Adsense in terms of showing relevant ads and getting my visitors to click.

I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but... GO MICROSOFT!
