Does anyone here know how to get hold of anyone from visage hosting other than their own email addresses @visagehosting.com? Their servers been down for way too long now - it's not normal Dean
I've heard that before. No disrespect but I've been down that road before and to be quite frank, they are all the same. This one just happened to last the longest before it too failed!
It is horrible... I am also hosting my site with visage... i can't access my site... Can u tell me when exactly did the Site went down ? Means in Hour... i do not know how to contact them now...
They don't even have a contact number on their website? http://web.archive.org/web/20070709014130/http://www.visagehosting.com/ Ask for a refund if it is more than 99.9% downtime, I'm pretty sure webhostingstuff will pick them up: http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/VisageHosting.html If you have backups, give us a call at 1(888)229-3185 if you would like to get your hosting setup ASAP.
Do you think it's just HTML pages that can be replicated using archive.org? Or do you think you can redo the site easily from scratch? If not, we can have your site transferred ASAP when we get in touch with VisageHosting.
Well i have the site backup Thank God... The site uses Curl (latest) php 5... And also Fopen... I had my 2 sites running there..I only have Main Site backup... (No problem of the second one because the domain expired before 2 days and i do not want to renew it) I had a lot of other scripts over there hand coded by me for my personal usages... (stock market) + There was a Big database entry in mysql... (didn't took the backup) Hope the problem get solved soon... lets see...
I have several sites with visage hosting, but all down too. I'm looking at other hosting providers, as had a couple of issues with them recently, and frankly I've had enough.
Appears to be up again for now, but got these messages when logged in via SSH: Message from syslogd@visage1 at Thu Jan 31 10:50:07 2008 ... visage1 kernel: CPU1: Temperature above threshold Message from syslogd@visage1 at Thu Jan 31 10:50:07 2008 ... visage1 kernel: CPU0: Temperature above threshold Message from syslogd@visage1 at Thu Jan 31 10:50:07 2008 ... visage1 kernel: CPU0: Running in modulated clock mode Message from syslogd@visage1 at Thu Jan 31 10:50:07 2008 ... visage1 kernel: CPU1: Running in modulated clock mode
They're up now. I had backups, plus I use X-Site-pro for most of my sites, so I could have moved if I wanted but this is not normal for them. They were checked by webhostingstuff.com only yesterday and given a 99.95% uptime rating.
Well if it's been 8 hours, it's got to be lower than 99.9% If they don't at least offer a refund, feel free to send me a PM and we can have your sites transferred quickly w/o hassle.
http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/VisageHosting.html They were down and only gave 99.47% uptime, just so you know. Also, I put up a backup offer which is only $2.49/month if you are interested in preventing these problems from happening in the future: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=6361841#post6361841
How is that understandable? I'm really not trying to bring this company down, but datacenters usually contact web hosts before temporarily suspending their server. Only LayeredTech would do something like that too...
I said understandable, I didn't say acceptable. It has been enough hassle for me to consider going elsewhere. I have already found a new potential host. No more small companies.
