Web hosting is a competitive yet lucrative market. I have spent a few years promoting globat.
In order to compete FOR FREE. setup a wordpress blog and et a ton of links to the main site. Then post the main keywords from google suggest and watch the customers flow in.

I can be more specific, Its easy. I won't condecend you as you attempted to do to me, but I will answer your question. The biggest marketing potential online is the google search engine. I am an expert/consultant at gatting websites indexed and raked high. THERE IS ALWAYS COMPETITION.

 

It's not about the niche dude. I'm a writer; it's what I do. I just want to get more visitors to it... the site's already getting like 50 uniques/day but most of it comes from my sig links in forums.

I don't have a problem with marketing sites in other niches, they're doing pretty well with adsense Since you know everything about marketing, I naturally assumed you could help market a site like mine.

 

Traffic will always come to your site. Even if its 20/day because of the unique content you wrote yourself. Theirin lies the key.

What's the best way to go about Marketing your business is to use local marketing. Google adwords offers this and local classifieds. Now YSM has local marketing aswell.
Its hard to market locally for free.
