    Hi Alll,

I'm confused??? At present I am working for a client who has a huge telecommunications website and they offer a wide range of sevices from Businees VoIP to Hosting etc, etc....

I am currently optimising their VoIP section for terms such as "secure business voip" "voip Provider" etc.
However when I am creating backlinks for these keyphrarses do I link them directly to these sub pages or to the index pages??

I have been linking them directly to the sub pages, I hope this is okay???

Your answers will be very much apprieciated...

    Theresa

Theresa, if you are getting backlinks directly to the relevant sub-pages without paying a ton of money for these "deep links", more power to you! A well-SEO'd website has a balance of links to the index page and the inner pages. I try every chance I get to secure links to my site's inner pages.

    Hey thanks very much,

I thought I was doing the correct thing, however if I create backlinks from directories and article submissions will these links be beneficial too?

    Thanks,
    Theresa

Yes, they will but not so many directories allow you to submit deep links.

That's true — deep links are not all that easy to come by. That's why I mentioned the "ton of money" in my first post above. If you have a decent budget, you can generally secure some Featured links to your inner pages from directories' main category pages. But if you do this, be sure to check the toolbar PR on the pages where you will be listing those Featured links to your inner pages. A paid Featured link on a PR0 page is probably not worth the investment.

Yes, it will be a good idea to provide some deep linking to your inner pages. You want both types of links - to your main page as well as your sub pages. You also want to your inner pages to link to each other.

yet article submission has its dark side..

if you submit to tons of sites.. google might look at those pages as spam pages and not give you any backlink..

Thats why you make an article, please

I think that links on subpages are very good. With specific anchor text you can optimize every page for specific keyword. Generally, it is a good thing
