25$ Header/Logo Contest - Just 5 days!

I want a logo/header made for my new content creation website (gotta start looking like a professional some time!).

Site name: ContentbyKaren.com (But don’t bother checking it out online, as there’s absolutely nothing there—I’ve only registered the domain.)

The company motto (just mine, really) is: “Ultra Readable Niche Content. Yep, that Simple.” And I’d like it included in the logo.

Since nothing has been created yet, you have free-run when it comes to colors, styles, etc. Here’s what I’m looking for:

-Bold, fun, and fresh… yet professional
-Colorful
-A small graphic (no photos, please)
-Please don’t use any images of people, photographed or otherwise. In other words, just because I’m a girl who writes doesn’t mean I want a cute anime-style graphic of a big-eyed girl with a typewriter. Cuz I don’t!
-Nothing too feminine or cutesy, please

I’ll run the contest until Feb. 3 (Sunday) or until I find something I like. If somebody submits something I’m really happy with, I’ll end the contest early-- I'm not going to extend it 1000 years just to get free labor out of you guys (and more choices than I need).

Payment via Paypal.

Hmm. This must be a really exclusive club. How do I get any designers to notice my contest? Do a little dance in my polka-dot bikini? Offer free martinis to the 50th person to view my thread?

I'm not a very good dancer, so... martinis for all who submit designs! Gin, Vermouth, and $25 for cab fare home (no drinking and driving in my thread, please). What a deal!

Seriously, though. I'd love to see some designs, or at least have somebody tell me they're working on something. I really am very nice-- probably much nicer than people you ARE submitting designs for.

Hi Neil! I wish I could edit my post... I've changed my mind, and really just want a logo for now. I simply want a largish one that I'll use as my header. So you have free reign, as long as it's not tiny. Let me know if you have any more questions.

 

Hey Soundboy. Thanks for the entry! I like the colors, and the design is a lot of fun. But it's not quite professional enough for me, and I'm not really crazy about the paper airplane grapic.

Keep 'em coming, guys... I'd love to see some more designs!

danigb: Sorry, but I'm not nuts about this design. It's rather plain, and the CBK graphic isn't what I was looking for. I'd like something a little more interesting (bolder) and professional.

Pklz: Your design is more slick, I think, but otherwise it's a bit like danigb's. It's a little cold for my tastes, and not fun to look at. As for graphic, the initals of my website aren't what I had in mind.

Choz9: I think it's funny that your design for something that I asked to be "not too feminine" used a graphic with the symbol for female! I like the colors, but the graphic of a pen "penetrating" the female symbol is almost... sexual. I don't want to scare clients away (or excite them too much!).

RNHalawi: Everytime I see your log-on name I think of Hawaii. Your design is more what I had in mind. I would probably want brighter colors and a bolder font (and even perhaps a small graphic if you could swing it), but this is definitely more what I'm looking for. If you're up for submitting some changes, I'd definitely be interested in seeing them. (A font that didn't separate the two sentences in my motto would be good, too.)
