    Hi,

Wordpress upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3.2

    Is this difficult to do?

In all truthfulness I'm petrified of doing this as the site that runs this makes $xx,xxx a month.

I want to install the all-in-one seo pack plugin as I need better control over meta etc.

Advice from experts would be great.

    Thanks. :)

    It's easy...
You could make a copy of everything, then experiment with the upgrade on a temporary sub-domain or new directory. This way your real site has no risk. :)

well, if you make that much from the site, then why not just hire someone to install the pluggin for you. i see people on DP selling their service installing pluggins and scripts for few dollars only. let the professional do the job and stay worry free since money is no issue here

The plugin wasn't the issue. Just the upgrade of the 2.3.2 latest stable release.

Anyway...I have upgraded the site to 2.3.2 and thanks for all the advice.

    I love wordpress. :)

did everything work out ok? I need to do this too - the last time I upgraded Wordpress, it replaced every single instance of quotes with ASCII characters, and it was a nightmare.

Has anyone else had this problem with quotes?
I need to learn more, to avoid future trouble.

gemini, I saw someone else here on digitalpoint who had the same issue. It was some kind of encoding problem that you have to fix manually. Here's an article about it.
