SEO for MSN

Hi,

I have one site that was visited by MSN crawler 6 months ago. Even since, the MSN bot never came again. The site is well-indexed and ranked by both Yahoo and Google, but MSN knows only the web address.

I posted links on the internet for search engine crawlers to follow. I did submit the link at MSN site, but still the MSN bot doesn't seem to care.

Any tips that will help invite MSN bot to visit the site? Thanks!

 

Try to get as many backlinks as you can... maybe that will help

 

Search for the phrase you would like to optimize in msn. Then try to get backlinks from sites that are high in this search results...

The ranking in MSN is quiet different. I have notice that aged sites with aged backlinks perform better. Try to get a link from a site that already ranks well in MSN

I think MSN gives more weight to the on-page factors and also just check your logs and the robots.txt file.

 

My site was created in September. MSN indexed the homepage in October. I began SEO and link building in December. I started getting rankings in mid January; however, only one page is indexed still but msnbot is crawling my site more frequently now.

 

I have only 10% of my site indexed in msn...

But before it was only one.

 

before they changed its algo recently MSN was mainly on-page SEO.

The new MSN seems to factor backlinks a lot more than it had.

 

submit it to live....they have a webmaster center just like google/yahoo.
