I don't know if it will convert well, but I don't think so. How do you expect a 15 year old kid in school to buy, and that is the main source of proxy visitors...?

There are a lot more that don't use filters and use the old fashioned manual URL blocking from the school administrator. ;)

Actually nowadays most schools in the US and UK get their internet connection piped to them from a central education authority and more often then not an active content filter is used (ie websense, bluecoat ect.) The days of schools owning their own net connection with a grey haired IT technician checking the logs every day and banning URLs manually are fast coming to an end.

When you get blocked by websense and bluecoat (which wont take long) you will see a big drop in earnings.

None yet. I was just wondering if running a proxy can be worth it.

I think 1 these is called k12.com. I see this alot in my logs. I don't have any examples but the hostnames are like 7du.k12.com etc etc. Each subdomain represents a different city or county. But all the IP's are owned by an ISP called k12.com.
Its looks as though there some kind of Private educational institution or something.

ok so then would adding meta descriptions and keywords with proxy in your site get it banned as well when it shows up on google? I am thinking yes but just curious on this fact.

well that is good to know so it really doesn't matter if proxy is in the domain just gets banned quicker by filters.

but then again some school filters don't always block sites, and for all the millions of kids wanting to get to sites from school and people from work, it won't be blocked for all of them then...

If your making it, how about some URL time based expiring encryption based of a key which is unique to every proxy?

If we are kidding about this, do you think we would bother opening up a contest for suggestion of names for the script? The proxy script will be released on 25th Feb. More details will be released soon. And to your question, sorry to dismay you, it's not a rebranded hack phproxy :)

Be more positive alright Ian ;)

If you truly want to make the best script I highly suggest you incorporate my suggestion which would make the script almost impervious to abuse. Also no Ioncube business or I'll look down upon it :p.

Why would you need someone to think up a name for your script?

    And who is Ian?
