    Search engines dont weigh .com any differently than .us for SEO.

    You wouldnt be able to sell it to anyone for much. It doesnt make much sense but I never said it was bad.

    From an SEO point of view, the extention doesn't matter. From a resale point of view, only worth reg fee.

    aren't .us domains geo-targeted to the US? In Google Webmaster, .us names are locked in as a location preference and can't be changed.

    Yeah, you're pretty much excluding the only population that would care to visit such a domain name by keeping it domestic to the U.S. Not that Astanians aren't able to access it but Google for instance won't even let geospot it.
