I have cash, hosting, time, but lack an idea

I currently have about $300 to spend to develop a new website. I don't need a designer or coder, I have VPS hosting to support another website, and so I think the money is mainly for marketing. I am looking into a high traffic site, like a proxy topsite, as I have never tried something like that before. After creation I can put around 10-15 hours a week into the site. Are there any types of sites that with the right decisions and input, are bound to make a solid income. My aim with this is to make a solid $30 a day after 6 months work.

I think you can buy a site which have already good traffic with that budget, you can find many established sites are being sold in sitepoint market place within that range.

    Start a bans store.

    Use the $300 to advertise.

After that, it should be pretty automatic.

    PM me.

    Depends on the niche.

The bigger the niche, the more expensive the keywords would be.

I personally would buy links on good reputable sites pertaining to your niche.

I have looked around the marketplace and haven't really found anything to suit my budget and something that I can see having a future by adding unique features. I am very interested in how well I could get a high traffic site to convert, as I currently have only one low traffic website, which receives 300 organic uniques a month but has a good conversion rate. By the way, what is a bans store? Is it like an automated digital product store?

It's cliche chief, but think about what YOU like and what YOU do. Something you are passionate about...

    video games
    sports
    baseball cards
    fitness
    whitening your dirty teeth

Then take that, and run with it.

Yes, thanks for the cliche barefootsies. The thing is that I have done those things in the past, and I am looking for a rather mainstream idea that could run without my very indepth knowledge or passion for the field, mainly because I am looking for a concept that can be replicated. I am now starting to think something along the lines of image host, file host or proxy topsite. I will add my own knowledge and individual ideas to my site, but I would like to know as a basis, are any of these types of sites profitable on the whole. These are the first things that have popped into my head, however I am open to many suggestions. With me it is not about trying to find a goldmine, however some ideas just click into my head and I can see a future with it, if you get what I mean

BANS is Build a Niche Store script. You can check it from here http://www.buildanichestore.com/

and NO it is not Dream script. so DO NOT waste your $100 if you don't know what it is. It is just a nice presentation of ebay feeds. People will come and when they buy stuff, u will get some money. If people register to ebay, than too you will get some money.

There are few people who are claiming to make good money and I am sure they are. But it is also true that there are lot of people are False claiming about BANS script, just to lure people to register under there affiliate links since bans pays $50 (I think) to affiliates :)

So to sum it up, if you don't know what BANS is,probably it is NOT for you(for NON US ppl, it is not easy to get into ebay/CJ as well). also $100 is not that cheap :)
