I would do so only as a last resort. I'm trying to work on something more practical such as right now publishing the story all over the net.

If someone took $5500 from me? The first thing I would do, is dial 911 and file a criminal complaint.. An amount over $3500 is Grand Theft.

In my entire life I've never called the police before. Are you really serious that I should do it? I've no experience with the police but what could they possibly do to help me?

ATMSeller, I really don't know what to tell you, I'm really sorry about that case...

I got the office that legally represents e-gold:

    Fuerst Humphrey Ittleman
    Att: Mr. Andrew S. Ittleman
1001 Brickell Bay Drive, Suite 2002
    Miami, Florida 33131, U.S.A.
    Phone: 305.350.5690
    Fax: 305.371.8989
    info@fuerstlaw.com

I'm thinking about taking a legal action against e-gold now.

Do you know some good lawyers?

I've just checked my emails and I got 2 emails in 2 hours difference from them, and here's what they said: (I took off my last name and put xxx)

    1st email:

    Mr. xxx,

We are investigating the issue with your account and we will contact you as soon as we have clarified this matter. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

    Thank You,
    Due Diligence Unit

    2nd email:

    Mr. xxx,

We have completed our investigation and the block has been removed from your account. You can now use your account normally.

    Thank You,
    Due Diligence Unit

No reply to my emails, nothing, but the account is restored with all the funds.

    Arie

Wow, I feel sorry for you.

You know, lately, as I have been trying to start my business, I am getting worried.

My friend lost about 1,300 dollars because paypal has froze her account and she did nothing wrong!

    E-Gold..Paypal...who do we trust anymore?!?

Awesome, well that is a good thing you got your account and funds back. I would withdraw your funds and never use E-Gold again if I were you. You know, PayPal has never failed me, yet chargebacks are the only thing to worry about. I hear a lot about MoneyBookers everywhere lately. Maybe check that out and use a different payment processing website. Be sure to read the terms of use and privacy statements whenever you are putting any money into anything basically.

But when PayPal does it you need to comply with them and then they release the limitation, no? That's what I did a few times with them, which is very annoying by the way.

We're going to push forward Moneybookers, no doubt about that! They want documents for registration of company and Business bank account and we have all that, I'm switching to them for sure!!
