Hit the Street's with your logo

I dont know jack shit about marketing. What I do know is vehicle advertising. What I do is called 'micro-targeted mobile advertising'. For those who dont know from the name ‘micro-targeted mobile advertising campaigns‘ are vehicle graphics placed on your car/van/scooter (or someone elses for a fee) in order to get your companies name out on the street. Hence the name Street Signage.

Why would you do that? Because vehicle advertising is on of the best ways to get up to 90,000 impressions a day. Thats right, 90k eyeballs. And furthermore you reach an affluent market, almost everyone driving can afford the high cost of maintaining a vehicle. Have you seen the price of gas lately? The other added benefit is that it will direct highly motivated buyers
to you, not just window-shoppers. With all these benefits its easy to see why the big companies such as Pepsi, Coke, Budweiser all have their logos on their fleet. It can easily pay for itself in a month or two max. Now thats a good investment.

Interested? Check out my site, it could be the tipping point for yours...

Very interesting indeed. I am really not sure how this would work, i would most probably forget the website i saw on a vehicle if i am driving. Just my 2 cents.

if you're driving through midtown Manhattan, definitely. Then again, the ad better be really memorable or it will be a complete waste of time.

I have never come home and entered a website url I have seen on a vehicle, or entered any while driving a vehicle........ up to 90k a day ? Thats hard to believe, maybe 9 a day is more realistic.

Let me clarify, when I say 90k I am talking about impressions, to use the lingo of web marketing. Sure your CTR (which in this case is the amount of people who actually come to your site - and are 'highly motivated buyers I might add) is only 5-10 per day but thats still comparable to some other forms of advertising.

There was a study done on this that I read about a year ago, let me dig that up and give you guys and girls a link.

to clarify, I meant - no doubt that would result in 90,000 views, I just dont know how many visits it would come out to be :D

hence, it would have to be a very memorable ad. Nobody is going to whip out a piece of paper and pencil to write down a long URL.

    memorable=vehicle wrap.

Seriously, ever wonder why the big guys like Coke, Budweiser and Pepsi advertise all over their vehicles? Do you think they have a small advertising dept.? Hell no, they probably spend more on research in a week then we make combined. They know the power of developing a brand. Sometimes I think we're too focused on the click through rate and not enough about developing a brand-name.

Memorable is not too hard, have you ever seen those Lamar billboards, the ones that they are looking to rent. All you have to do is look at the environment and make something out of place or weird, people will look, trust me. They have to its how our brains are wired, the cave-people that didnt look aren't our ancestors...

I think he really meant 'around and around and around and around....and around'. :p

The only way vehicle advertising would work is if you were driving a Subaru and advertising bottles of Buckfast:rolleyes: Okay, for those who don't know what 'Buckfast' is, just go to www.bbc.co.uk and search for buckfast. Oh, and Youtube, too.

I know what you meant, Mr. Street. And I'm all for car advertising, but that 90,000 impressions a day is just, well, fucked up. Sorry. :D

If the site had 9 pages, that would mean at least 10,000 people, in ONE day, would have to not only see the ad, but go there, AND, look at all 9 pages.

In a couple of year's time, yeah, I'll agree with ya on that number. But even then, that's pushing it.

Come on, cousin, let's get real here.

Don't get me wrong. Again, I am all for car advertising, but if you want to get more buyers, you may want to consider taking that 90,000 impressions crap out.

Ok let me clarify my clarification. I mean 90k hits on the vehicle advertising. NOT 90k hits on your websites. I think that is the problem, that and my ability to communicate just exactly what I am proposing.

I live in a suburb of a city of about 1.5 million and in that city there is a main road. Its 2 lanes (1 lane going one way 1 lane going the other). On that road they are thinking of doing a shortcut to the highway to reduce congestion, so they took a estimate of the daily vehicles passing a certain spot. It was 31,000 or something like that in 24 hours. So if you letter your car or whatever and let it sit there you get say 30k per day, all day, every year until it fades or gets towed. That folks is what I am talking about.

Although, this is a good case to point out that we all may be a little too focused on online advertising. Correct me if I am wrong ;)
