My doman is currently less than 1 year old (11 months), and my website is pretty big with a very active community (forums - 100+ registrations daily, 150-300 new posts daily - 8000+ members). My current PR for my keyword is 4 and I want to help raise it to PR1 and gain higher SERP. I clearly outpopulate in size the other 3 websites but they seem to be higher than mine I was wondering if I got say 300 of my community members to help spread my website links to directories, other forums, DIGGS etc... would that help raise my PR rank of my keyword to 1? Thanks
Regardless of that, what was your point of replying the thread with no actual tips? As to your question, building backlinks helps both your Pagerank value and your search engine positioning. Make sure to get the most out of your backlinks to use the keyword or keyword phrase you want to rank for as your anchor text. As for the method to build backlinks, well thats up to you, if you feel your community can help provide quality related backlinks then by all means do your idea.
The point was that nobody else was replying because it was difficult to understand what he wanted when he was mixing up 2 completely different things so not making sense.
