I am brand new at affiliate and bum marketing methods. I made my first sale, a few days ago, $16.78. Now, I realize that is nothing compared to most people who post here, but it's a start. I want to try my luck at PPC. (I know I have to spend money to make money.) My financial situation at the moment is not that great, but I have $50-75 that I can probably invest. I know that every situation is different... but is it possible to make sales, using this method, when my investment is this small. (I realize it is dependent on my keyword choices, at least for the most part.) Any feedback or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Merry
Im soon gonna get into PPC, but not until my first ever clickbank cheque arrives (128$ - Would've been 148 but damn refuds GRRR) as Im not so keen on investing my personal funds in it.
$50-75 is too low of a sum to get you started in PPC. I was in similar situation. What you should do it to try and get some free traffic. Probably from similar blogs/forums etc. Put some comments (dont spam it) with a link back to your site. You can also try KingOfKings (DP member) services. He has a network of blogs where you can post articles with link back to your site. Soon your site will be spidered and may be indexed on search engines and you can start getting some free traffic. When the investment is small, it is so easy to lose money and get demotivated. So use it wisely.
Congratz. PPC is much more competitive and complicated then Bum Marketing. So I would suggest to build stable income from Bum Marketing, before trying PPC.
You dont have a chance at all with $50 - $75... And Ill tell you why... With ad networks your click through ratio plays a huge role in how much your going to be spending per click. When you first start a campaign the CTR sits at 0. 50 - 75 isn't enough money to get you out of low click through ratio hell, even if your ad copy is outstanding, your keyword selection, and campaign structure is phenomenal. Sorry.. It just isn't enough. Try if you must, but this was my personal experience WWWAAAAAAYYY back in the day when I started tapping into PPC. I can only imagine how much faster advertisers will eat your $50 and send you packing now. Either reach further in the pocket to get serious, or keep striving through bum marketing until youv accumulated enough to take a real stab at PPC. -TC
There are some groovy ppc coupons floating around that can get you started with a boost, however I've heard they are US only. Here are some coupons that I gathered myself (not sure if they are still working still but should be): https://adwords.google.com/select/main?cmd=Login&sourceid=Yh91503 http://sem.smallbusiness.yahoo.com/...linemarketing.php?abr=2022416117&o=US2245 http://startadcenter.com/inexpMar_aff/
Thank you for all of the advice. I am serious about this, but unfortunately there is no way to reach 'deeper into my pockets', as topcampaigns suggested. At least, not right now. Merry
So why don't you start by using bum marketing , you can always make some money from it . You can promote your website or any type of product that you want to promote by using squidoo , it is free to use . You can also Submit your articles to articles directories 1. www.goarticles.com 2. www.ezinearticles.com 3. www.articlecity.com They are also free to use .But Be careful with PPC , you can have success with it but you can lose money with it too .
Hi Merry'sKitchen, I know where these other guys are coming from when they say you need much more than $50-$75 but I have to disagree that you shouldn't start from these small investments as your initial startup base. And I say these NOT from a theoretical / hypothetical point of view. If you must know, I've only spent $5.90 on G-Adwords the past 2-3 days and I've made $67.84 on that. Need Proof ... Here ya go: That works out to be an ROI of 1149% ... right? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong). Start somewhere is what I'd say ... All the very best mate.
I suppose if you have the money, it is best that you invest some of it into advertising or outsourcing. If you don't have the initial $$, you may need a much longer time to see your clickbank cheque. Anyway, I outsourced my articles writing. 15 articles only cost $30. Free up a lot of my time! I can concentrate on marketing and generating traffic. But I am not good in ppc.
Where in the world did you get such a nice rate? One article for 2 bucks? Hey, I would love to try that writing service out too!
With $50-$75 you can probably make about 3-5 sales as a beginner. It all depends on how you use it. The main problem is the daily budget. If you set it on too little, it often means your ads won't show up during the entire day. But, if you find a niche with miniature competition and few cents keywords, and you know what to do (since you have to act quickly, so your landing pages must be very good and targeted) you can probably make some decent sales. If you enter a more competitive niche or use the wrong keywords - your campaign won't even make it to 10am. If your landing page isn't good enough, even a daily budget of $100 won't help you. As others said, you can start with article marketing, blog marketing, email marketing or anything that doesn't require that much money. If you want some landing page advice or PPC advice (for decent daily budgets, more than $15), I'll be happy to assist you (pm me if you want). nadavs
Thats really good Were you running ads on the content network or search network? You must have been paying small amounts per click or were getting high conversions. Drop me a PM if you have time
It's between 400-600 words. I give the freedom to my writer. Hint: Try not to hire writers who pay by $/word. Eg: $0.01/word etc. In my opinion, they are not passionate about writing, they treat it as a "job". It's best to employ ppl who are passionate. Just my thoughts. That is why sometimes my writer gave me 400, 500, or 600. She likes writing. I prefer to get my writers through the common freelancers site such as elance, gaf, rentacoder etc. Not because DP writers are no good, but I prefer escrow.
