Hi, II would like to know which of the plain text or Html is better when sending mail? I will appreciate if you can explain why either one is better or worst. Your help is much appreciate! -=Eric=-
If you are looking for the most compatible solution plain text would be best because everyone would be able to see it. Some users might not be able to see full HTML emails thus you would have to make it so that the email looks fine with or without HTML. Though nowa days most people can see HTML only emails so you should be safe, another option to look at it an image email... where you just send all your information in an image format.
Wrong... Google's Gmail, for one, won't accept anything but HTML, any text email I receive is presented to me in an Attachment format, of which I'm leary to open because it is an attachment. However when I read my email through my ISP's Web Based email client, it won't show anything but Text email. Eric, It's best if you can send email messages containing both. Most emailing programs, autoresponders, list mailers, etc., send email in multi-part format, sending an HTML version and a Text version. The Email Client program used by the receiver determines which part is shown to the user. It's never good to stick with either text or html alone. There are too many email clients out there that don't accept one or the other, however will parse out text or html from a multi-part message. So, when ever you can, send messages in both HTML and Text. Regards...
It must be some kind of setting your are using... because mine accepts Text Only emails without the whole attachment bologna.
Plain Text is better than HTML! because it can be readable anywhere using any type of mailing service
I was tinking like you, but someone toll me than I should only une text (It was talking about aweber) I should not use Html at all... I would like to get others opinions. Thanks!
Whenever I create mailing lists I usually give the user the option of receiving plain text or html emails. But when in doubt, go with plain text.
Ok I got this now... I'll try to send mail both way but if I have the choice I must go for plain text. I would like to know too if anyone have trouble with aweber HTML editor, is it a good one or should I create my own html mail? Thank you!
