I just discovered this morning that my game site had been hacked in kind of a quiet way - some a$$clown inserted 63 links with the keywords being viagra and cialis - the text was hidden -

No telling how long it had been there - but I am thinking about a month - because I started dropping in the serps in the last 30 days - would this have done it? and is there anyway i can get back to where i was 30 days ago - quickly?

    Thanks in advance...

I would remove it and then go ahead and submit a reinclusion request as long as there's nothing else there you wouldn't want a Google engineer to see.

(Also, if you just remove it and then do nothing it is likely to come back.)

move your web hosting so it'll be hard for them to hack your site for the second time.

Thanks Eric - I had removed it as soon as I found it this A.M.

Your probably right it will get adjusted automatically - how do you do a reinclusion request - never heard of it..

Sign up for a Google webmaster tools account. It's under the 'Tools' menu inside your webmaster tools page;)

You need to remove the hidden text and all other issues with the site, it sounds like it wasn't banned or de-indexed so you should be safe, but it will take some time before your rankings return.

Continue to build more links again and again and wait for the result.

Are you sure it was hacked?
More likely it was a script that was adding auto blogg comments.
Do you have a blogg? and Password protection on blogg?

There are lots of ways people hack the site and then start appending or prepending junk to all files... it can take forever to shut down the holes once they've hacked it. Almost better to manually recreate every file on a new account and switch over.
