    Had today featured link submission.
But didn't receive payment so I rejected link.
And then you would not believe...

The guy wrote an email that PayPal website was not in English (maybe PayPal error? have all configured for English)...
Anyway the rest he wrote I was really shocked!!!

    and next

I didn't wrote a one bad word to him. I'm so polite and kind.
So, can you believe it, such an arogant?
What causes the people are so aggressive?

And his URL in the end: http://www.lakeland-printing.com

In times and instances of this, when it comes to a client, I will tell them to 'go fuck themselves'; in a more professional manner of course.;)

I still got so many submissions to my directory without payment. I don't know what I can do with these submissions. Reject them? It's a lot. I don't why the webmasters know it's not free and still keep submitting without payment.

For PhpLD script based directories it is really important to reject link if there was no payment.
Sometimes 'no payment' can be caused by PayPal error, account error or whatever.
And it's important to give the webmaster second chance for submitting a link.
Otherway his link submission will be rejected automatically as the system treats it as double submission.

For free links many times I decide to reject the link which is against guidelines. Normally while rejection email is sent to the link owner.
But to avoid such stupid situation as described above I've build one more function for PhpLD admin which allows to reject link without notification...

I had another email form the guy...
He writes: 'Ok, you there, I give you the second chance'
Should I answer: "Thank you, God' ? :D

The truth is that some people do not take any kind of rejection well. Most of the inquiries I get from web masters who's sites I have rejected are usually very pleasant when they ask why I rejected their site, and understand when I explain it to them. There are some though that are really nasty about it. Whenever I get one of those, I ignore it.

Don't worry about it too much. It's just another part of running a directory. :D

Yes it's true and I do same as you.
Many asks about rejection reason... In my reject email template I even include most important guideline. But people are not reading this...
But it was not a problem until yesterday's night.

I was shocked with this guy. He sent 7 emails one after another. Each of same kind. Only because PayPal was not in his language...
In my PayPal redirection I do not use country selection, just only USD.
This is default setting for PhpLD.
As I know if there's no country specified PayPal tries to guess it form purchaser's cookie otherway it uses English. So it was cookies on this ignorant machine or he used some proxy for submission.

Oh, that's very bad, trust me I've been on it aswell, but now I don't have that problem, I use php Lynx and it forces payment before submission. Don't know why no one else has this feature. I love it..

    Think you missed something...
It wasn't about link rejection but PayPal payment form.
So it can also happen to you...
Think, someone wants to have a link in your dir. But first he must pay before submitting. So he goes to PayPal payment and see what he see.
Then he uses contact form on your website and writes to you: 'You idots, etc...'
    Now you see.

There's nothing any of us can do when PayPal has some sort of meltdown. Some people are gonna complain and be obnoxious no matter how nice you are to them.

Either work out an alternative for this person to pay, offer him the featured listing for a discount or free, or let it go. I would certainly contact PayPal and ask them to look into this as their error cost you money today. Perhaps there is some sort of problem with your account. Instead of being angry with your customer, I would be angry with PayPal.

When it comes to money and expecting a service, people will get angry and perhaps go a tad bit overboard when they don't get what they expect. Yes, the language and tone of the messages exceeded the issue, but customers are going to vent when they are unhappy. Unless you plan on accepting every submission that is paid for, you are going to get some of the riff-raff giving you crap about denying their listing - it's all part of the job.

As to Watchout's post, I suspect he was responding to several of the other posts that mentioned people submitting and not paying for thier listing. Yes, it's true his reply does not offer a solution to fixing a PayPal issue or responding to jerks; but, he did offer phpLynx as a solution he has found to combat what is one of the biggest issues involved with getting paid submissions.

Other than advising you to contact PayPal or asking if anyone else has been served inappropriate languages by PayPal, I'm not sure what you are actually looking for with your OP. I do appreciate the warning that this may happen with my account and if someone emails me with a similar issue I'll be able to tell them that it is something that on occassion does happen.

Oh, BTW, why'd you give him a live link here if he's such a jerk?
