Stick to what you know and enjoy doing, this way it won't bother you putting in content and effort into the site. For best results: have fun, enjoy what your doing, make money while your doing it.

For best sales: Sell the highest priced items that Amazon offers. I've seen $25,000 tractors and even more expensive jewelry. If you make a site dedicated to high-end stuff you may do well financially. If you sell your basic books and dvds you can still make money, but not like selling just one high priced item.

If you want to get best results, you must find the niche market. no competitor is very good.

But, isn't it easier (and faster) to sell lower priced items than higher ones?
How do you find the conversion rates?

    Thanks :)

Conversion rates for working with Amazon products are decent. I try to keep my rate near 5%-8% of my traffic. Your right, it is easier to sell a few dvds or books, but if you just sell one or two significantly priced items, you'll earn more then several smaller ticket items. For example, 10 dvds wouldn't earn you the commission you'd get for one piece of expensive jewelry or a power tool. I guess it's really up to how well the site owner can market the product, and to offer a compelling reason or experience for the visitor to shop there.

I'm sure it does well online, but I haven't personally done this niche as yet, so I can't really say. I mean with all the spam and junk emails sent relating to online pharmacy and health stuff, there has to be a lot people buying that stuff online. I haven't done this niche myself, but I can imagine there would be a market.

I would approach it like a walgreens or cvs online. I'm sure it'd do well.

Good advice, it's much better to dominate a small niche than go for the popular stuff and struggle for a good listing because competition is fierce.

I sell skateboards, and skateboard related goods, it works out well, and it's easy to talk about.

I also sell wrestling videos, wwe has a built in audience so it's an easy sell.

I think that it is much difficult to mention a best product , I think gravity score should be best and more than 50.

@arazzaq321 - Amazon doesn't provide gravity scores; I think that you may be thinking of Clickbank.

Lately I've been using Amazon to find products by typing a few letters in and then watching what comes up in the suggestions. Then I take the suggestions and research the products that come up to find good ones. I've also been targeting items with 5-10 reviews instead of the ones with more. Since most people don't leave reviews 5-10 reviews still indicates that the product is selling.

There is no "best" item. Everything can sell well if you know how to market them correctly.
Either go with something you are interested in and know about, or as mentioned above, try finding something that has low competition and research it.

The popular and expensive ones :) Also the ones which are right in your niche so you can get targeted traffic. Also the best product has low concurrent affiliates promoting it so there is no much competition.

Due to current trends, products created by apple are good ones to promote. [IMG]
