Yes, online people are real - but you can't possibly fall in love with someone online because you don't know the REAL person. You'd be "in love" with the way they type... I mean, come on.
But it CAN start from there. You can become interested in their ideas and thoughts... From that starting point it can progress into more communication, through IM, then phone calls, then meeting in person... It can start online and become love eventually.
I couldn't have put it any better, just that it is a bit of a time-consuming process....but then who knows??
